Two years behind the desk at professional venues across Nottingham — mixing bands, solving problems, and shaping the sound of live events.
I'm Finlay — a Live Sound Engineer who's spent the past two years studying on the Live & Technical Events course at Confetti College, gaining real-world experience mixing for music events along the way. My goal is to become a sound operator mixing for local venues in Nottingham and beyond, working with bands and bringing their sound to life.
Mixing for live events combines my passion for live performances with my desire to tinker and experiment with technology. I've always loved debugging issues and figuring out problems — and I've managed to channel those skills directly into mixing. I love getting to the bottom of things and trying new solutions to old and new problems.
